n her decade on the frontlines of the toughest political fights, Katie Prisco-Buxbaum has been a trusted adviser and confidant to progressive leaders and causes.
Prior to launching her strategic consulting business, Katie was Campaign Manager for Andrea Campbell’s Boston mayoral campaign, Democrat Jesse Mermell’s campaign for the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District, and managed Campbell’s heralded first campaign for City Council in 2015, which led to the defeat of 32-year incumbent Councilor Charles Yancey. Katie served in senior finance roles for United States Senator Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s 2018 gubernatorial campaign and Senator Harris’ 2016 U.S. Senate campaign. She also held leadership roles at the Massachusetts Democratic Party and Massachusetts Chapter of the National Organization for Women, among other campaigns and local non-profits.
Katie is deeply passionate about bench-building and campaign training and has run political training and coaching for organizations such as the Mass. Women’s Political Caucus, Lowell Votes, Emerson College Polling Society, and Everytown for Gun Safety’s Demand a Seat Program. She is also currently an adjunct professor at Emerson College in the Communication Studies Department.
In addition to her work at Hyphenated Strategies, she serves as Chief Political Officer of Nominee, an ed-tech start-up focused on empowering more people, particularly from underrepresented and marginalized communities, to run for office and make a difference in our communities. Katie lives in Boston and is an alumna of Emerson College.
